Growing up in an African society where women and girls’ rights are secondary, I dream of a day where all women and girls live in an equal and fair world.
One of my favourite quotes is by Audre Lorde and it says, “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own, ” which highlights the idea that when the needs of most women are overlooked, the collective well-being of all women is also overlooked.
